Headspaces: The Windrunner Edition

Sep. 5th, 2011 | 10:06 pm

[If you are to find yourself in the eleventh room on the seventh floor, you will find not simply one single person's mind, but a combination of three collections of memories that all proceed to be illustrated in a similar fashion.

Once in the room, you are faced with a bright, colorful forest with interesting, ornate architecture that looks positively pristine in nature, a picturesque landscape of elven beauty. The sun is shining, the sky is a beautiful shade of illustrious blue, and the woods are thriving with life and luster. As you make your way through the beautiful landscape, you will see an interesting sight indeed.

Four young elves-- three girls and a boy-- frolic and play together, laughing and enjoying themselves as they chase each other around and maybe even wave their small bows and arrows around, grinning as they compare strengths and making playful jabs at each other. The quartet of elves will follow the traveler should they choose to to continue forth, even going to far as to run around them.

Though when a certain something catches their eyes-- and presumably the vistor's-- each girl runs off, showing a three-way fork in the path that you may seem to have followed:

The young blonde girl dashes off to the path at the left, green cloak billowing in the wind and blade drawn with confidence.

The young girl with the dark blonde hair simply continues running as if rushing headfirst into the fray, pulling a deep blue cowl over her head and keeping her bow at her side.

The smallest girl with the snow white hair dashes to your right, grinning happily, looking back at her siblings as she proceeds further into the forest.

The boy remains at the root of the fork, however, back turned to the visitor, watching his siblings dash off without him. If one to linger to investigate him, they may very well feel a sense of sadness fill the air around him before he bows his head, disappearing slowly.]

[Best to move on. Which path you you choose? Dare you risk all three?]

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner gets on vent and discusses raid strategies.

[Filtered specifically to those who wish to fight against Arthas Menethil;]

Greetings, each and every one of you.

If you are reading this, then I should hope that you are both mentally and physically prepared for the battle that it soon to come-- the battle against Arthas Menethil, the man who will become the Lich King and become he who curses my world into despair.

But I shall not digress for now, nor shall I make this into yet another tale of my plight. For now, there are far more important priorities, that of bringing down the monster that plagues both we as residents and those who remain innocent outside of the castle. It is I you will answer to in this battle. If not myself, then my equal, he who is known as Koltira Deathweaver. By now, you should be familiarized by what we know about Arthas. If not... well then, I suggest you learn quickly.

With the aid of Ino Yamanaka, we shall carry on our assault ina few days' time, taking the death knight under assault by our forces as the monster known as Riful is countered by her own assault team. It is our duty to corner him and overwhelm hi with our forces so that we may bring him down to a point wherein separating him from Frostmourne would be a far easier task. Since the sword is very much a powerful entity, I cannot stress enough that caution is key. Distance yourself from the blade unless you wish to become a soulless wretch.

Speaking of which, there is no doubt that he will call upon his forces of the dead. If you are more of a close-ranged fighter, I suggest focusing your efforts on these diversions while those in long range pelt him with our attacks. At the same time, I would believe that no more than two able sword fighters counter him so that he does not rush off into the fray of the ranged fighters and any medics that are upon the battleground. Those who wish to be said fighters, taunt him if you must, but keep him away from the others.

Koltira, might I entrust you to be of of said fighters?

That aside, if we are to overwhelm Arthas enough, there could very well be an opportunity in which we will be able to push him back into the Dead Zone. There is no way he will traipse into it so easily with baiting-- such an effort has been tried in the past to no avail. We must overwhelm him to a point in which we can do this.

Stay on Arthas when this happens. Do not focus on the runeblade initially. I've received word that Ray Stantz will use a contraption of his to assuage the souls trapped within the blade, effectively draining it of its essential life force.

Once it is done, the payoff will be sweet, indeed. No longer will we worry about the accursed runeblade. We are free to make our efforts as we see fit-- with a synchronized attack plan, of course. I would like attention on no more than two capable fighters, of course, but if we reach this point, there should very well be a bit of leeway with our composition, considering the fallen prince will be overwhelmed, and underpowered.

If we are careful and keep a clear head about it all without reckless endangerment to ourselves or our teammates, we shall succeed. And victory shall be sweet.

If you've any questions, I implore you to speak up now. I shan't have any mistakes nor shall I have any weaknesses on the field. Keep communication open, and keep it limited to all that is necessary. That is all.

Remember, you are answering to myself or Koltira Deathweaver. If you've issue with speaking to us directly, then by all means, relay it to Ms. Yamanaka as we shall sort these issues out beforehand.

HMD?

No specific character needs this time around.

I would like input on Noi, though. She is a completely new muse for me, and I wonder if I am making her consistent with her voice and her actions and such. Yes, I know her canon is lesser-known, but if anyone read her intro post, do you think I am handling her okay? Paradisa is such a weird, accommodating environment!

Okay with Sylvanas, okay with Zeke. Is the Vriska spark still there? I'm kind of second-guessing myself with her lately, to be honest. But then again, that may be because I am falling out of touch with the fandom.

Anyway! Hit me with your best shot! For anyone! (If you want a go via anon, they all have anon-enabled HMDs in their journals.) ♥
